Hi, I bought a Bonneville Royal when they first came out but sadly sold it after many happy memories and trips touring on it with
my wife around Europe. I bought my Bonneville Royal UK model reg number ULP 843X on 14 October '82 used from Gus Kuhn's in
Clapham South London a well known old dealer and racer , sadly now long gone. Looking at the sales invoice at £1299.00 I seem to
have got a bargain by today's standards....and only £5.00 deposit! I'd been using a Triumph 750 tiger and wanted to upgrade to a
newer bonneville and fell in love with the Royal on stopping off at their show room one day for a browse and ended up buying it
there and then without ever seeing one before.
My best mate and riding buddy who sadly is no longer with us, also felt the need to now buy and brought a brand new TSS
Bonneville to keep me company, from Carl Rosner motorcycles and we had many happy trips both in this country and touring around
Europe with our pillion wives together. There is a younger looking picture of me and my wife taken at Box Hill in Surrey a well
known bike meeting spot even now.
