Triumph Bonneville Royals
Ken, UK. His Late Brothers 1981

Story From Ken.

My brother ordered the bike August 8th 1981 and got the bike September 10th 1981, he paid £2331.50 ($3604), he was so proud of it. After only 539 miles he had a list of faults, some big engine faults, back & front wheels didn't match, paint coming off around the tank filler cap & the seat chaffing. In the end it went back to Meriden March 27th 1982 and had all faults fixed. He then spent a total of 10,851 happy miles on it, most in the Isle of Man.
Ill health then took over and he could not handle big twins, he then parked it in 1996. It had a small leak on the front master cylinder which had stripped the black paint on the brake lever mount. He passed away last year (2014) and then I became the owner/guardian.
When we got it out of storage, O.M.G., after a good clean not too bad. We found all new parts Colin had got to fix the front master cylinder. The silencers were rusty and the battery was bad, we replaced both. A little new petrol, hit the starter button and wow it started no problems. I have no bike license so decided to sell it. A chap named Richard from Ipswich bought it October 10th 2015. Hope he loves it like Colin did.
