Triumph Bonneville Royals
Piet sold his Royal to fellow countryman Gauke, see listing under his name
Piet, Netherlands, 1981 UK Spec Royal.

Triumph Royal Wedding 1981.
At a motor exhibition in Amsterdam on January 1982, I saw the Royal Wedding for the first time and it was love at first sight. It
didn’t took me long to make the decision to buy this beautiful motorbike.
I already had a Bonneville 750cc, but the Royal Wedding was so special that I had to buy it.
Me and my wife, spent a lot of holidays with the bike, we went to several countries in Europe: England, Ireland, France, Italy and
Germany, and I also made trips with my friends.
Even though the motor drove fantastic, it wasn’t always without bad luck. The stator had cancer, the starter was not very strong
and is still disabled, and  the engine is overhauled by Lands End Motorcycles Mr. Piet Mangold.
Further on, there had been necessary replacements, such as: tires, exhaust, rear shock absorbers, the saddle is covered again in
England and the front brakes overhauled etc.
I have driven the motor for 33 years with much pleasure, now at the age of
72 years, me and my wife spent our holidays in our motorhome. We drive through Europe for 6 months every year. Not much time is
left to drive my Royal Wedding, so I decided that it was time to say goodbye.
It was a difficult decision, but a right decision for us.

Therefore I hope that the new owner will have as much pleasure with the motor as I had.
Yours sincerely, Piet
